Laser technology is being used for a wide variety of applications throughout industry today. Within the public domain direct contact with the technology can be limited and thinklaser would like to chnage that. In both this section and the creative section we will make the technology available either as a direct sevice to the public, as in security tagging or as an idea with the view to spark further creativity.

The following are services that we will be providing.

Security Tagging
During 2010 we will be offering a customising and security tagging service for personal items. The aim will be to provide a laser marking service that allows you to send - bring us your item, ipod, phone etc. We will laser mark relevant data onto the item and return it. The information will be logged on a database that can be accessed for future reference and confirmation of ownership. There will be a, one off, small charge for each item of which 20% will be donated to a charity selected by the employees of thinklaser.

Anyone under the age of 16 may use this service free of charge (security tagging). Customising will be charged at the normal rate.

The service will be updated throughout the year to increase the product types that we will be able to laser mark. We hope to include open days throughout the year when you will be able to bring your items, including bicycles to our facilities and have them security tagged.

Important: You must contact us before sending any items through the post and or visiting our facilities.

We will accept the following items for security tagging or custom marking from the first of January 2010.

Any Apple Ipod
Any Metal based watch
Any metal based mobile phone
